The Maritime Collegium of the Government of RF have provided it’s traditional support for TRANSTEC-2012 International transport exhibition and 3-rd International ports and shipping conference. Both events have been included to the Collegium plan of events for 2012, approved at the Collegium annual session held in the Ministry of Transport of RF, Moscow, 21 December, 2011
The exhibition and conference will reflect a vital maritime transport development issues, discussed during Moscow session, including pollution prevention measures and technologies, port fleet construction and operation, ports modernization.
The Collegium stated, Russian ports development is a key point in connection Russia with traditional and emerging markets. Actual 2010 Russian ports cargo turnover, as per Ministry information, have exceeded the record of 526 mln. tons, new port cargo capacity for 200 mln tons have been developed in Russian ports Ust-Luga, Primorsk, Varandey, Prigorodnoe, Taman, Caucasus, Tuapse, Novorossiysk, Kaliningrad, Vysotsk, Vostochny, Vanino recently. Russian ports infrastructure and superstructure modernization and efficiency increase was seen as the next nearest inevitable step.
